Studying a Language...
Opens Doors to Future Career Opportunities
Improves Memory and Focus
Enhances Problem-Solving Skills
Builds Confidence & Creativity

But there is a problem

I talk with learners of all ages.
This is what I hear: "I took Spanish in high school... but I can't really speak it."
I have taught high school and elementary school students who struggle to master the grammar, words, and concepts from a typical textbook...over 2,000 words per year!
Sadly, in many typical language classes, students learn about the language, but not how to use it!
And the solution...

Your child doesn't need 2,000 words...
or even 500...
They don't need to know how to buy a screwdriver...
or a furniture...
at least not yet!

How many words do you really need to get through the day?.

It's 50.  Just 50 base words!
Doesn't it make sense to learn the 50 base words of a language?

In this program, we slow down to speed up.
We follow the principles of TPRS®,
Teaching Proficiency Through Reading and Storytelling.

We use stories to build the students' vocabulary and command of grammar. Students listen and learn to speak in a relaxed, fun, and creative environment.  They understand what teachers say and speak the language themselves from day 1. They tell stories and learn to have conversations.

The results are amazing!

How Much?

Studying another language can be confusing, or expensive, or both...
If you were to sign up for private tutoring, you could pay $75/hour per student on some platforms... which over the course of the year would make this program cost $6750!

Some tutors will charge less, like $50/hour, which would cost $4,500 over the course of the year.
Or, you could get a program and study the language on your own, which is less expensive, but not interactive.
Our Solution

Engaging, story-based, interactive sessions with other students. In our classes, we personalize our language.  We make it fun using ridiculous details. One of our students had an (imaginary) dog as big as a house!  It led to all sorts of problemas...

In our classes, we also have finals that take the form of talk shows, court cases, debates, News reporting, etc. Students get to use their story characters to create a dramatic experience. Students are creative, serious about their roles, and drew out the humor of the stories. I love remembering the funniest moments of those classes. These engaging finals create fun and fond memories for students as they progress on their language journey.

Bottom line?  Students say that personalizing the language and continuing to add details were the most helpful aspects of their learning.

What students are saying!

I enjoyed having Tony as a teacher, guiding us to learn Spanish and new skills we had not learned yet. He makes the class fun and sometimes makes me laugh. I believe that my Spanish skills have increased tremendously with learning to communicate and learn about Spanish culture. When I get to college, I hope to pursue a Spanish class to further my communication skills so that if I ever become a business owner, I can communicate with almost anyone.

Second year student 2025-26

This semester, I enjoyed learning about the conjugation of verbs in different tenses, especially the passé composé and imparfait, which helped me understand how each tense reflects different aspects of past actions. I also found it interesting to learn how to use object pronouns to replace nouns in sentences, making my French sound more fluid and natural. Additionally, I enjoyed expanding my vocabulary, particularly words related to daily activities, travel, and culture. Over the course of the class, I believe my French has improved significantly. I feel more confident speaking, reading, and writing in French, especially when it comes to understanding grammar and vocabulary. Moving forward, my goals are to focus on speaking more fluently, reduce hesitation, and increase my vocabulary in areas that interest me. I also aim to improve my listening comprehension and work on writing essays in French to solidify my grammar and vocabulary skills

Third year student 2024-25
This semester in French 3, I enjoyed learning the passé composé and imparfait, which helped me talk about past events more clearly. My French has improved a lot -I'm more confident speaking and understand more when others speak. My writing has also gotten better, especially with the verb tenses. For the future, I want to improve my speaking fluency and vocabulary and start reading more in French to challenge myself.

Tony Arellano, Founder and Teacher

I live in Wisconsin, and I love teaching World languages to all ages. It began in college, where I had already studied languages for years. I decided then that my future goal would be to teach language and culture to students. I wanted to give learners the whole world language experience that I had. I studied abroad in Bordeaux, France, for a semester in my undergraduate studies. There, I used my language skills to make international connections. I graduated from two universities with a BA in Spanish and a BS in French Education. The year following college, I applied to work in France as an English assistant in Montpellier. I worked with teachers, middle school, and high school students in their English classes. My best memories are being abroad and learning how to survive with just my own language skills and some money I had saved up, of course. Some of my other activities: taking weekend trips, hiking, planning family events, attending sports events, and attending all festivals in the summer. Learning French and Spanish is a whole-life experience, and our online classroom is a space to build confidence, be creative, and develop as people.
